To an audio learner, everything is a story that they can tell. They often watch educational videos and particularly excel using audiobooks to learn. While they may not look at you when you talk, they will always be able to miraculously repeat exactly what you said. ![]() If your child is an audio learner, they process information by hearing it. ![]() The more senses you can appeal to at once, the better. They love to listen to highly animated audio while they play with toys. They are very “hands-on” with everything that they do. You will see them thrive in art class or doing science projects, and they love playing learning games. They are the ones in class that can never sit still and they love subjects that require action and involvement. In other words, they learn using all of their senses. These learners process information through all of their senses at once. Kinesthetic learners are also referred to as “experience” learners. They do well in school because the school setting is largely adapted to visual learners. You can hand them a textbook and they will be able to go over the information and learn it. They are often good readers and enjoy reading books. These children usually love videos and interesting pictures and need to “see” their lessons. They are able to retain information better when it is presented to them in pictures, graphs, and charts. The Visual Learning StyleĬhildren who learn visually process information that they see. It is important to know which of these learning styles your child fits into in order to help them learn better. They are visual learning, audio learning, and kinesthetic learning. There are three basic styles of learning. The reason being is that one of these children is an audio learner and one is a visual learner. Take those same two children and present visuals, and the child that was previously fidgeting suddenly comes to life while the previously content listener now seems distracted. One is perfectly content to listen to him while the other fidgets. You may see two children sitting side-by-side listening to their teacher. It goes without saying that we all learn differently.
